They’re also in contradiction to Einstein’s theories of physics.

I think, therefore I am a black hole.
I think that each of you is a figment of my imagination.
I think that each of you may be the soul of a lost sock.
Why, pray tell, is there only one of each of you?

But, Im conflicted, if a star collapses and creates a singularity with an event horizon, but then blasts radiation out until there is no singularity or event horizon, shouldnt there be some kind of evidence left of its prior existence? Where does this radiation go? Out? How far?Beats me - I find it ever so comforting at times like these to admit to being a dumb redneck. But the OP makes sense to me - If it is massively discharging mass, how then can it be accruing mass, or even sustain the mass necessary maintain a singularity? Anyway, the idea that something as massive as our sun could become so dense as to fit in my pocket has always been beyond comprehension.
And why, if a singularity is formed, doesn't it's massive mass simply discharge out the tail of the black hole anyway?

If I have to look at one more artist’s rendering of a black hole I’m going to scream! Oh wait...

Nope, not a parody. And I am referring to the progressive-rock trio from Canada, not the rotund pundit. :)

Disagree. There is a black hole centered in Uranus.

Hawking goes to strip clubs. Oh. MY. GOD!!
The poor guy is a quadriplegic. He barely has the use of the tips of one of his fingers. Cut him some slack. Lots of people go to strip clubs, and your Psalm this and Psalm that doesn't make you better.

I’ve long suspected there are quantum mechanical considerations that may preclude a singularity as opposed to a condition that ‘encourages’, but never allows it to actually take place.
Quantum theory can seem pretty damned strange.

That’s not a bad bet, especially as there is not yet a decent theory for Quantum Gravity.
