Yesterday afternoon I took part in a panel discussion as part of an NYU sports business class. One of the other panelists was the buyer for a well-known chain of sporting goods stores lets call him Mr. Buyer and he had some very interesting things to say, chief among them the news that the NFL will be dialing back the throttle a bit this year on Pinktober. This has nothing to do with the recent domestic violence issues that have been in the news Mr. Buyer said the league had already planned to soft-pedal the pink months ago. Therell still be some pink, but not as much. It wont be used for any nationally televised games, for example.

Good!
Next, stop the silly ‘stand up to cancer’ on the Fox channels.
Then, NBC stop the green week (or is it a month?).

Ditto.
I have a bad feeling that with the Clerisy going after the NFL over domestic abuse there is going to be whatever color symbolizes domestic abuse month shoved down our throats.
Can we keep Shark Month? Some of that stuff’s kinda cool.
Good.
I will support pink days when they start wearing colors and garb that promote testicular and prostate cancer awareness.
To give a truer indication of the players’ attitudes toward women, instead of pink, now they’ll be wearing black-and-blue.
First time I have heard of it. Maybe because I loath team sports...
When did pinktober end??? I still see that damned color on everything.
Goodell doesn’t have the equipment to do that!
Why go to NYU for “sports business” classes? I guarantee those students are getting hosed. Go get a job in “sports business” instead. You’ll learn, or you won’t.
Promoting cancer consciousness is total insanity. We live in a world more and more focused on darkness and hardship. We are a country that was built on appreciation, gratitude and a positive outlook. Now it we are the most whiny-ass nation ever to exist.
So, the Neilsons must’ve tole em the after school special morality lessons on leftists agendas is a ratings looser!
Thank God! Despite my best efforts I’ve been unable to locate a 1970’s era black-and-white TV set on which to watch NFL football.
I am absolutely certain that Pinktober has chased more men away from watching the game than it has encouraged women to start watching.
I’ve never been a fan of football, but when I passingly saw the players decked out in queer little pink outfits, I knew NFL was over.
