Full Title: Father shoots dead daughter's 'lover' as he crouched in her bedroom because he thought the man was an intruder
Poor writing. Was the father crouching in his daughter's bedroom? As for the outcome, I'm torn on this one. As a father, I empathize with the dad but the girl is 20. Maybe he really thought the guy was an intruder.

The daughter is dead? As Hildabeast would say, “What difference does it make?”

We are taught to try to get control of the situation rather than just blowing away when we see something... IF the lover tried to attack him or something thats a different story...

Why not: “Man kills daughter’s lover due to mistaken identity.”

From the headline I thought the daughter was dead and the father killed the murderer. This headline is poor in more ways than one.

He did his daughter and society in general a huge favor. He should get a reward.

This is an unfortunate development.
At the same time, Marc Carrion needed to be far more sensible about creeping into windows at night. Sad news.

In other more honorable times, a strange dude, or any unrelated dude, in a less than 21 y.o. daughter’s bedroom was risking his life and no one would talk about mistaken identity.

Should have written it as:

Was the daughter dead? Did the lover kill her? or had she died from ebola or something?
Who was crouching? Shooting from a crouching position?
