Dang! I’ll bet that’s a very effective zombie gun.

I see these quiet often... But since I own and operate a retail gun shop it is to be expected. They are good shotguns provided the bores aren’t pitted from the use of black powder shells and a failure to properly clean them afterwards.

Surprisingly tight pattern at 25 yards, considering the barrel is only 18.25” long (as measured from the breechface.) I always leave an extra .25” in case a shotgun gets dropped and the muzzle gets dinged up - that way I still have some metal left to work with and I can re-crown it without making it too short for the minimum 18” required.

Grandpa used it hard, daily, for a lot of years. But that’s it! Good catch!

Didn’t hurt until about 3hrs after shooting; my fiancee and I’d had prime rib dinner and several bottles of champagne at the corporate office grand opening of People Magazine, that July 14th afternoon. No blood; the wound self-sealed. Just a huge red lump w/ black dot in center. Puked when I saw that.

Yes they were... I remember the ads for the big 8, 6, and 4 bore rifles when I was little. I was not keeping track of them when I was a teen when the original company folded. Later on, imagine my surprise when I saw the A&F catalog with a half-naked girl on the front cover! Boy how times change...

I was in the last A&F in NYC before they changed. How cool is was to see safari clothing and GUNS in one store! It had to be in the 80’s.

Yes... When I lived in Manhattan for a short while in 1993, I went looking good for them. It was just a clothing store at that point. Most interesting place I found was a place called the Spy Shop, run by South-Africans, accents and all... They sold all sorts of hi-tech spook stuff, including BMW’s with tear gas units under the fenders to disperse attacking rioters. Flame throwers were also an option.

Thanks everyone so much for all your help in finally IDing that mystery family heirloom. I’ve copied all data and info, links etc and will include it in the firearm’s specific file. It’s not worth much on the market, but it’s priceless to me, as all of you are for being so kind in taking an interest and helping with its discovery.
Should I pass out *Blenders* or “Golden Mics*?
LOLMAO!

Glad I could help a bit.
For celebration, I shall mix up a Vesper martini for the occasion.
See ya whenever I, "Come to."
