Im not riding in that deathtrap! protested Jenners. That deathtrap was not the destination.
It was the conveyance to the destination.

Lol, well.
“Ride a deathtrap to get to the deathtrap. How else will your demise be amusing, kid?” senior tech Munsen chuckled.

You and I are not talking about the same place.
I’m talking about a place we’ve decided to call “The Realm”.
It’s not a place in the real world. The rules, needless to say, are different there.

Imagine someone heading there who doesn’t perceive the place the same as everyone else.

That’s actually true of everyone who goes there.
People who go there are part of a collage of minds, creating one large parallel mind-construct.
It isn’t a weapon. It’s a resource.

For every resource, there is an equally disturbing mal-usage for it.
I can for see an “unintended expiring” due to contact with something they aren’t prepared or ready to see or know.

It’s perfectly safe.
It’s only a “thought experiment”.

Thoughts can be dangerous.
Hmm.

Nightmares specifically.
They come from both the thoughts and the subconscious.
(Or “noitmares” if John Everetts is to be believed.)

"Thoughts can be dangerous.
Hmm." Indeed.
"Trouble rather the tiger in his lair than the sage amongst his books. For to you Kingdoms and their armies are things mighty and enduring, but to him they are but toys of the moment, to be overturned by the flicking of a finger."

Then there's my version:
Turning Pages
The scholar turns the pages on Napoleon's excesses,
And Hitler didn't do much better with his plans,
His nature does not yield much to these militant expresses,
And well he knows the folly that is Man's.
The best of wisdom says that one should leave this man alone,
For he has distilled wisdom from the ages.
The things that shall be written he has gleaned from what's been sown,
And he has no reluctance turning pages.

Sliding off of a roof is exhilarating...
It's the rocks at ground level that hurt.

Unless properly lite a roof can be a dangers place at night. A large pile of sand strategically placed can be very helpful. Notwithstanding getting sand down your pants can be unpleasant. Yes, there is a story behind this comment.

No sand. Options are rocks or clay.

Yep, Monday.
I don’t have to be me, but I do have to go to work.
If I were being me, I wouldn’t be working so hard; or so early.
