I understand that argument, you don’t ever blame the victim, however exposing yourself to risk is a risky thing to do...
In Islam they blame the victim IN ORDER TO excuse the wrongdoer. In a sane society we punish the criminal reguardless of if the victim was exposing themselves to risk or not. The victim that exposed themselves to risk become cautionary tales to others so they do not become victims later themselves...
So no, if you argument was that because she was “asking for it” we should let the scum off scott free, then I would flame you... But you don’t seem to be arguing for that.
The consequence of stupidity should not be an excuse for wrongdoers to continue their wrongdoing...
Too often liberal academia and media conflate “acknowledging the risks” with the idiot argument of “blaming the victim” when it is not.
So I will not flame you for acknoledging the risks.
My argument is not that “she was asking for it” but rather that she was stupid to put herself in a situation where she COULD be raped. If she has no memory of the event, then it is probably best for her.
