Problem is your mentality ends ALL punishment for abusers because there’s always going to be members of the abused who use those punishments as an excuse not to report. It’s unfortunate that she’s in that deluded stage of the abuse cycle, but it’s still stupid to think we shouldn’t punish the abuser because of it.
Oh, I agree. I’m just saying when it comes to some spouses money they are going do more of what she is doing.
She must be deluded. That was a mean left cross he gave her.
Maybe it’s money, maybe it’s love, maybe it’s misplaced loyalty, maybe it’s unwillingness to admit a mistake. There’s usually a lot of bad stuff going on inside the head of an abused woman before she ever gets hit. I’ve known a few and the hardest part of getting them out of the situation is always getting them to realize they don’t deserve it and shouldn’t accept it.
I hear that. Knew some years ago and they would chide my wife and I for saying things like “only an idiot would put up with that crap” before they told us they had been abused for years.
We just scratched our heads. If I ever hit my wife I’d lose a precious body part! lol
Yep, I’d wind up one of Tucson’s problems solved by a hole in the desert.
