Many years back, I think it was NFL coach Forrest Gregg who wasn’t happy about women in the locker room, or, more specifically, women in the locker room interviewing naked players. He put up a sheet, giving the players privacy, but was vilified by feminists.
What is the difference with Mr. Sam? Would he not be sexually attracted to some of the men he sees in the shower? Ask any women if they’d be comfortable showering in front of men.
The NFL can now have a gay pride month and not have to change the chalk on the field.
its discouraging seeing what is happening in college football for sure....I’m thinking I may have to start following the smaller football schools that really are non professional...
The thing I always had a problem with was the throng of reporters in the locker room when the team was trying to shower. Can’t you wait 10 minutes? Can I come and watch you shower reporterette? How this hasn’t led to a sexual harassment claim by a female reporter by now is surprising to me. Maybe it has. I’ve seen guys get up close to reporterttes for an “interview” and rub their junk on them trying to intimidate them - and that was 30 years ago.
thank God the Koreans won or we’d be having the Chicago team blasting the media for the next two weeks, with a big parade and White Hut visit etc...
I think it was Sam Wyche of the Cleveland Browns. The thing I'll never forget is when he wore a towel to the press conference.
I’ve quit watching since they don’t play real football anymore. Eventually they won’t need helmets and padding because they’ll be passing the ball on fluffy pillows and asking politely if the other team would like possession of it.
IIRC, when one team scored in that Aztec hoop game (players could only use their elbows to hit the ball), the game was over AND the winning team was suddenly entitled to all the spectators’ possessions!
Score was followed by the winners chasing the spectators off the field in hot pursuit of their goods.
Anyway, this Sam spectacle is disgusting. The other players have already warned him to stay the h*** out of the showers until they’re finished.

I turned off the St Louis replay game on NFL network the other morning. I was watching a few of those replay games. But when the homo came on, out I went. I am sick of ESPN. I wish someone would come up with a channel to out do them so they would fold.

One time in Cincinnati, fans were throwing things on the field. He got on the PA system and told the crowd:" This is ridiculous! Stop it! Have some pride. This is Cincinnati, not CLEVELAND!"

They are also not allowed in the player's lounge or anywhere near the training rooms.
There are signs everywhere: No Media Beyond This Point.
My experience was in college basketball locker rooms. In many arenas, the visiting teams locker rooms were no more than a shower room and a dressing room.
Perhaps I was mistaken, but it sure didn't seem like some of those home team were concerned about our accommodations! :)
The home team's locker rooms are PLUSH, from College on. In fact many college locker rooms are vastly superior to the pros.
The Oregon Ducks have a full service cafeteria, and private barber shop.
Never seen that in the pros.
The visiting locker rooms are almost always sparse.
So yes, even in the best stadiums, I can see where someone might have a problem.
For the record, The Sam Wyche situation involved the Bengals HOME locker room.
Which happened to be the visiting baseball clubhouse at Riverfront.
I've been in it and it was very lackluster.
The Reds clubhouse was a palace, but the Reds wouldn't let anyone else use it, even during football season.
Don't get me started on how crummy the visitor's football locker room was.
No better than a large high school locker room.
