Actor Robin Williams was cremated and his ashes were scattered in San Francisco Bay, according to his death certificate.

Williams was found dead in his Northern California home August 11 from what investigators suspect was a suicide by hanging. The certificate, obtained by CNN on Thursday, says his ashes were scattered off the coast one day later.

Sad. He was Episcopalian. No funeral. No burial. No grave.

We wouldn’t even know if CNN didn’t read his public death certificate.

Williams’ father was Episcopalian. I have read Williams turned away from the Episcopal Church at a young age and apparently had no affiliation as an adult.

Yes, it is sad.

Yeah...try that with your loved ones ashes and go to jail.

Obama did that in Hawaii with his Grandmothers ashes without penalty

Reminds me of Ted Kennedy destroying the bodies of John, Carolyn, and Carolyn’s sister. Yes, they were recovered from the sea but I can’t help but think it was meant to eliminate any chance of finding drugs in anyone’s body.

Robin Williams discussed on 60 minute clips...God, heaven, and it showed a profound belief. No Where in the Bible does it say one must have a church membership to get into heaven All that is required is to accept that Jesus is the son of God and believe in him, and baptism is important.

Yes, it says we should assemble ourselves together, but it never mentions it has to be a church. In fact, the first Christians met in homes and were called ‘The Way’, no buildings required.

I attend church, however denominations are man’s devices and doctrines not God’s.

No kidding. It was my recollection that scattering ashes on the coast wasn’t just illegal, but a violation of Federal law.

Investigators “suspect” it was a suicide? I thought that was a settled fact. If it isn’t, doesn’t it seem odd that the authorities would allow the body to be destroyed?

It’s not a theory actually, just a question as to all the Kennedy’s who have died, yet Teddy always survived assassination and tragedy until a relatively normal death.

I know that night was foggy and that is what they say caused the airplane crash, since JFK jr had planned to fly by instruments. Yet the crash bothered me when I heard about it.

JFK Jr had decided to run for office, the Senate I believe. That makes me think he had enemies before he began campaigning, who knows?.....but I am assured it was an accident. That rush to cremate, and put back in ocean seemed extreme.

I just wondered why a wife who did not like to fly or was it the sister-in-law? did not pitch a fit over the fog and help him decide to wait until morning.

Oh well...maybe a ? isn’t needed.
