James Foley was one of a new breed of activists calling themselves journalists. He didnt travel to report on a story, but to promote an agenda. And the agenda was obvious from his Twitter feed.
[snip]
Foley came to Syria to support the Sunni Islamist rebels against the Syrian government.
He cheered on the Sunni Muslim terrorists fighting to ethnically cleanse the Christians of Aleppo. In the conflict between Israel and Hamas, his tweets and retweets were chock full of pro-terrorist propaganda.

Great post! Let the man rest in pieces.
I think it’s entirely reasonable to point out that in the Assad vs. ISIS war, both sides are terrorists. Assad was, until he got too busy at home, a major supporter of terror against the United States and the West in general.
ISIS happens to be more spectacular and flamboyant. Arguably they are a greater threat in the long run.
But that doesn’t make Assad into a democrat or someone we have anything in common with except an enemy.
Possibly we’ll wind up allying ourselves, if only informally, with Assad and Iran to defeat ISIS. But let’s not make the mistake we did in WWII and deceive ourselves that because we ally ourselves with somebody out of expedience he is therefore really a great guy.
I do remember that very strange statement.
And then reading Wiki, I was reminded of this very strange deal:
On May 14, 2004, it was revealed that Nick Berg had been investigated during the U.S. government’s investigation of Zacarias Moussaoui. Berg’s email address had been used by Moussaoui prior to the September 11, 2001, attacks. According to Berg’s father, Nick Berg had a chance encounter with an acquaintance of Moussaoui on a bus in Norman, Oklahoma. This person had asked to borrow Berg’s laptop computer to send an email. Berg gave the details of his own email account and password, which were later used by Moussaoui. The FBI found that Berg had no direct terrorism connections or direct link with Moussaoui.[7]
The whole ting with Nick Berg and his father are bazar to say the least.
There is too much to indicate that was a propaganda video to use against Bush and Zarqawi cut his head off when he wasn’t supposed to.
