A Sainsbury's branch emptied its kosher food shelf after the manager feared anti-Israeli protesters outside would attack it, the supermarket giant has said.
Meats, cheeses and sauces were removed from a Sainsbury's Local branch in Holborn, central London, as it was picketed by demonstrators who were calling on the grocer to boycott Israeli goods.
The incident yesterday afternoon happened on the same day anti-Israeli activists 'wreaked havoc' at a Birmingham branch of Tesco when a demonstration got out of hand.
Actor Colin Appleby took a photo of the empty shelf, prompting uproar online as hundreds condemned the grocer for appearing to succumb to the demands of the protesters.
People also pointed out that many of the goods were not from Israel and instead came from nations including Britain and Poland.

Are they stripping the shelves of Kosher foods or products made in Israel? I’m guessing Kosher. Funny that many Kosher and Halah foods follow the same laws so there’s too many crossovers to make sure which is which.
That pic of the small section of empty shelf is nothing compared to our local chain grocery HEB. Guesstimate 10% of the shelves here are empty at all times. Usually it’s the basics like bread and canned goods. If there’s a national coupon, that product is pulled. Many of the sales circular items are not ordered or pulled or don’t ring up with the sale price. Most of the time you have to ask them to look in the back for common cuts of meat because they only put 4-6 packages out on the selves at a time. Want an olive more exciting than the usual canned black or green? Ha, you’ve come to the wrong place. Want a head of cauliflower? Hmm, try back next month. Forget that 3 days to an empty store in times of crises, our one and only store will be empty within 15 minutes.
*Sigh* - Okay, for you. The UK is boycotting Israeli goods. This store says they removed Israeli products so that they wouldn’t be protested by mussies. I say it was a sly way of boycotting Israeli goods under the guise of protecting their store. Hope this explains it.
Just more proof:
It is not anti-Zionism.
It’s Antisemitism.
I doesn’t matter WHERE kosher food comes from.
It’s JEWISH.
“Are they stripping the shelves of Kosher foods or products made in Israel?”
At the store in question, all kosher food whatever its provenance.
It seems that Britain has made its choice. Pamper the Muzzies they brought in, even though they have caused plenty of vicious crimes and ruined plenty of property through anti-Israel and anti-semitic riots. Penalize the Jews for “inciting” said violence, just for being Jews. And if every Jew left Britain for the United States (wouldn’t it be NICE to have educated and industrious immigrants for once?) or Israel, let’s see how Britain would prosper with its new Muzzie masters. Bad choice, you dumb twits.
Which means they’re also stripping the shelves of halal foods as well. Shooting themselves in the foot but if they’re that stupid, then go for it.
