It's a phenomenon that cat enthusiasts eagerly await — the moment when a beloved feline lets down its guard and allows its tiny pink tongue to hang absent-mindedly out of its mouth.
This often happens when the kitty is deep in sleep (as seen above) or following a fastidious licking bath (below), but one thing everyone knows for certain is that the longer the tongue stays out the kitty's mouth, the more magical (and hilarious) the moment becomes.
Sometimes these silly moments only last a couple seconds, so the cat's human inevitably makes a mad dash for a camera in hopes of documenting the lapse in the cat's usual reputation for being regal, dignified and decidedly non-dopey looking.

Same here. I have a few old acrylics scattered about. Just some colors daubed on in an hour or two of ‘inspiration’.
Family members seem to like them and try to pull me back into being ‘creative’. It cannot be forced or coerced....it’ll happen when the mood strikes.
I think what bothers me most is that it takes a lot of cleaning up afterwards. ha ha.

Oh wow, your cat looks exactly like my 16-yo best buddy Peanut, right down to the facial expression and laying on his back with his paws in the air. Something surpassingly cool and sweet about orange kitties...
