Carole Lombard, arguably the best of the platinum blonde stars who married Clark Gable and then died serving her country in an airplane crash on a 1942 War Bond drive.
What would the politically correct movie name be for a remake today?

There was another on last week with Barbara Stanwyck called “The Gay Sisters”. Another title change.

Today, they would keep the name and change the plot to match the perverted meaning of the word.

Carole Lombard was not only a very great beauty but a wonderful comic actress. What a performance in 20th Century!

When I was a kid learning to read I loved the word "gay." It just seems so happy.
Later I learned it had already been ruined by homosexuals.

There is an episode of "The Andy Griffith Show" titled "Floyd, The Gay Deceiver." The premise is that Floyd the barber has been corresponding with a woman living in another state, and has been lying to her about how wealthy he is. Now she's coming for a visit, and Floyd doesn't know what she'll think about him when she finds out the truth.
If that episode were filmed today, the plot would definitely be much different!

They’d still call it the gay bride, if it were politically correct enough.

That always pi$$es me off. A perfectly good and nice word is now forever bastardized.
