Look in the Unclaimed Funds of the State Comptroller’s office. Fill out the form and fill it in.

I discovered I had about $750 in unclaimed funds with my state. Where it came from, I have no idea but it originated in a town in northern Michigan where I grew up but left in 1969.....

It’s my lucky day! I went to the site and apparently I didn’t pick my last student paycheck while in college, 10 years ago. $58 will be coming my way. Woo hoo!

I recently scoured the website for each state that I have lived in. SC, TX, AZ and NY.

Would up with $600 returned to me.

I think most state governments have their own websites with unclaimed property lists.

Here’s the one for Wisconsin.
http://www.statetreasury.wisconsin.gov/section.asp?linkid=1381&locid=155

And here’s one that’s national:

Hey Mom! Recognize any names on those lists?

So far this year as a result of my wife following up on this we’ve gotten $52,000 in funds from my Grandfathers estate.
Simply had to prove my mom had passed and I was the last alive in the family.
Just do it, ya never know.

Thank you for posting. I just found a few thousand dollars for my mother-in-law and $30 for my recently deceased father-in-law.

I found money owed to us, and the state wanted proof we had lived in an apartment 15 years ago (for about six months). Umm,yeah right.
