I remember seeing my Dad shoot long the first time. My Dad left the Army long before I was born. He was a paratrooper with an EIB. He picked up a deer rifle, made two shots...adjusted the sights...and put up a whole bunch of shots within an inch of each other at about 500 yards.
I was stunned.
We he took our Boy Scout troop to the range, he picked up a .22 rifle and shot his NRA Expert in about 40 minutes.
I was in awe of the way he could shoot.

Good story....
My pop...was a WW11 Marine Vet...called back during the Korean War...He was a Weapons Instructor at Camp Pendelton...Drill Instructor...He could shoot a bit.
