Saw it last night. It’s not a GREAT movie - It doesn’t change your world view, it doesn’t have a deep emotional or political message and it’s not greater than the sum of its parts. I thought the last act kind of fell flat for the climax which weakened the movie for me overall.

That said... it’s a very fun movie and the actors do a good job making the characters shine which makes the whole thing work.

I was having emotional connections with an anthopomorphized RACCOON!!!
(And if you’re an age-old marvel comics fan (or George Lucas fan) stay for the cookie at the very end of the credits.)

You heard wrong. 92% on RT, 8/10 average rating and a A Cinemascore. I saw it Friday and it is a fun, eye pleasing, funny, yet serious movie. One of my favorite comic book movies so far.

Yeah like Star Wars, Iron Man, The Avengers, Transformers, Captain America...................I think if the eye candy effects are well done and integrated well there will always be a laqe segment who want something that is just a fun mindless ride to escape in .

I saw it Friday and loved it. Will be taking my family to see it as well.
