Working on selling this song. Its called "Xanax Just Can't Fix What's Wrong With You"
If you know anybody wanting to buy a country song... send "em" my way!
Have a good Friday everyone.
My G-d - WHAT HAVE I DONE?!
Like it!
Xanax causes convulsions with fast tapers.
Lorazapam often needs a slow taper with long time users.
lol
They have near identical half-lifes and many of the diazepines cluster around the X-20 hr half lives, with a few very short and not prescribed in the U.S or very long and actually used for withdrawal programs.
My brother is on Xanax for severe anxiety related stress. He’s a high flying money manager. I’m on Lorazapam cause I have a defibrillator implant which I can only describe as like walking around and getting unexpectedly kicked in the nuts every once in a while.
Oh yea, last post REF: Wikipedia and Drugs.com
I know someone whose doctor is trying to get them to take Xanax. Is it really that bad?
The benzos have their place in life. Severe anxiety is the way one’s body tells one to knock it off. IE your brother.
depends why and for how long. I am not a prescriber, but I do detox patients. Xanax is nasty in the long run and should be used occasionally or short term and there after judiciously.
Just FYI: Drugs.com is not all that reliable. You’re much better off using Epocrates.com - that’s what the pros use. You’ll have to make a (free) account, but it’s worth it.
Leave to a talented soul in the heartland to get this one right!
thanks!
The other drug that was suggested to my friend was the generic form of Zoloft. But that one has to be taken every day and for the long term. Is one any better than the other?
antidepressants address both anxiety and depression. They can change mood without the euphoric effects of a benzo. Remember benzos use essentially the same receptors as alcohol.
If you are talking about spot using a benzo to get through an issue, like panic attack or flying or a sudden death in family, benzo makes sense. If you are talking about long term anxiety/depression symptoms, antidepressant makes sense.
Thanks. It is both. Recently severe panic attacks have been the issue. But there are longer term issues with depression.
I recommend Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to be used with whichever medical script choice is made, A good counselor with CBT skills can make a load of difference.
I have a friend who is a senior nurse, addicted to xanax.
I think lots of people are hooked on it.
I knew a lady who was hooked on it because she couldn’t deal with “life”. Of course...... her life was a direct result of the way she lived it. And, Xanax wasn’t gonna do anything to fix the root of her problem.... Hence the song :)
See what you started?
Cool... I had not heard that!
