What movie should have had a sequel?
Posted on 07/12/2014 8:29:26 PM PDT by MNDude
Most of the times, it is better off if the sequel to a movie was not made. There are probably a few movies that would have been nice to have one. Which movie(s) do you think should have had a sequel?

Why? A sequel to Casablanca? Or any truly epic film? The sequels I read about always want to be “diverse” - as in McHale’s Navy where Carter is played by an African-American. Or say Wild Wild West where the lead is played by Will Smith. Any sequel today has to be political correct. There are those films like Iron Man which work, or Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr. which were great. But please don’t make sequels to great films.

Zombieland.
It was structured for a series, anyways, it was highly successful in Box Office and critical response, and the actors loved being in it.
The movie execs that let the sequels for that get away should be tossed out of Hollywood....
