G’night John Boy. G’night Mary Ellen. ;>}
Mary Ellen must have been taking the photo, because she’s not in this one.
“The richest family in America is the Walton family who are worth $152 billion “
They brag about the fact they’ve hired 60,000 veterans, but they won’t pay them more than $9.00 and hour.
Goodnight, John Boy.
That sounds so whiny and liberal. At least they have jobs and if they have the gumption they won’t be working anywhere for long at minimum wage, they will go onward and upward.
For most, Walmart is not a career, it is a stepping stone for the ambitious and a dead end for those who can do nothing else.
LOL! Or they have so much money they don’t really care one way or the other. Seems like the uber wealthy can be like that. Since they are in the stratosphere none of the crap in dc has much effect on them.
Being vastly wealthy - nice work if you can get it.
Exactly.
Big corporations give money to both major political parties. The directors of the corps may be of one party or the other, but the corporation is neutral.
The feigned animosity toward big corporations is little more than political theater.

reid,pelosi ,GORE etc
Welcome to FR.
The story of the Waltons of Walmart is the quintessential story of success in America. That empire started with a small family 5-and-dime on the square in Bentonville, Arkansas. Sam and Helen ran it.
Sam and his brother started the Walmart chain with borrowed money to open either 4 or 6 area stores in the early 1960.
from the Top 10-
. Walton family $152 billion Wal-Mart retail, Republican
2. Koch family $89 billion - diversified, Republican
3. Mars family $60 billion candy, Republican
4. Cargill-MacMillan family $43 billion money management. Republican
5. Edward Johnson family (Fidelity) $39 billion money management, Republican
6. Hearst family $35 billion Hearst Corporation media, Republican
7. Cox family $32 billion - media, Democrat
8. Pritzker family $29 billion hotels and investments, Both
9.S.C. Johnson family $25.5 billion cleaning products manufacturer, Republican
10. Duncan family $25.4 billion energy, Republican
There is something REALLY WRONG with this List!!!!
Where is Bill Gates?- easily 70 Billion
Where is Larry Ellison?- current net worth 46 billion
Both are OUT of top 10 and are BIG Demo supporters
by the way Cargill-Macmillan’s at most are Demo&repug- but from
what I See in Minneeesnowta- they typically host Demo’s
to their parties.
It just means there are more business- savvy, smart Republicans than there are Democrats.
A friend of mine from HS married Lucy Cargill. I’d say he made a wise choice. His brother was also CEO of Cadbury for years. Both from a small little HS in the mountains of central PA.
Whoops - meant Lucy MacMillan...
