Terrible, horrible story but I can’t stand it when human qualities are projected on to animals.

Animals should not live in chains. Nor should people. Literally or figuratively.

Maybe he’s crying because he has Stockholm syndrome and he wants to go back home.

If you have to keep an animal in chains, no matter if it’s a dog or an elephant, then you shouldn’t be ‘keeping’ the animal...................

We project human qualities onto animals because we have yet to learn how to project animal qualities onto animals.

Someone should die for treating an animal that way.

Is this a positive metaphor for the Republican base?
Freed after being held in chains, beaten and abused for fifty years

According to the article, there may have been upwards of 27 different ‘owners’ over the years. That’s changing hands every two years or less..........

That’s exact the story I thought of. We started donating to the Elephant Sanctuary from the story.

Amazing video, almost too hard to watch. But the prologue from PBS was heartbreaking..........

I cant stand it when human qualities are projected on to animals.
Is that what you saw? I saw two different stories; the first being the violation of God's trust in mankind for the proper stewardship of the animals he provided us and the second being mankind answering God's call to rescue this poor animal........
Elephants are indeed intelligent and highly social animals. One could even make the argument that elephants exhibit more characteristics of what God hoped for in mankind than what man is exhibiting today........

Put those chains right back on the sub-humans responsible, and let them beg until death!
