Although many Westerners are unaware,Brazil is one of the most violent nations on earth.A few years ago we took a day tour of Rio and surrounding areas and the guide told us that the "favelas" (slums) of Rio are so dangerous that the Brazilian army dares not try to enter them *during daylight hours*.
It's still early in Brazil's large cities...let's see what happens.

My boss back in the 70s was transferred to our branch in Belo Horizonte and was shot in his home by bandits. Another work associate was robbed on the street there. And I assume it’s gotten worse.

I don’t know if Brazil has something like the Witness Protection Program, but if they do, Team Brazil is gonna need it.
Immediately.

The injury of their star player and top scorrer, Neymar, might have changed the odds.Their defense absolutely stunk. It wasn't Neymar's injury that triggered that meltdown.

They all play their club soccer outside of Brazil.
The keeper plays in Toronto. Same as Witness Protection Program.

Haven’t seen that many weeping Brazilians since Anderson Silva got his ass beat (the first time) by Weidman.
