A Gay Blood Drive Day will be held on Friday, to protest the continuing blanket ban on gay and bisexual men donating blood in the US.
The Food and Drug Administration currently imposes a blanket ban on donating blood for all men who have had sex with men, because of the “increased risk” of sexually transmitted diseases.
The ban was initially put in place in the 1980s following the AIDS epidemic, and critics say it does not reflect modern advances in screening technology However, they have faced calls to implement a system that reflects actual risk, as opposed to discriminatory risk.

Why do they want to donate blood?
Because not being able to points out the “not normal” aspect of their lifestyle.
And their Blood is cursed with the evil they represent.

Political correctness is now more important than the safety of the nation’s blood supply.
Their slogan should be, “Gay blood for gay patients!”
Well, if there ever needed to be a bigger push for bloodless medicine now is that time!
Who would honestly want AIDS blood. I mean, maybe if you were suicidal, but no normal person would want it. And why would you fight and shout so you can donate diseased blood? What benefit do you gain other than to rub people’s faces in your sickness?
This isn't about discrimination or "homophobia" or anything else besides sound medical science. It's about protecting the blood supply from a very high risk group of potential donors, end of story.

If the States allow Homosexuals to donate blood I would refuse any type of transfusions.Knowing that they are likely carriers of HIV,Hep-C and Hepatitis.
They aren’t the only ones that can donate blood. Those who have spent time in malarial areas of the world are also prohibited..screening or no screening.
The whole AID’s epidemic was made worse by the lack of screening in the early years. Now there are other blood born diseases that are risk factors..like chagas.
Homosexual men live from 8 to 21 years less than heterosexual men. The average homosexual man has had sex with over 100 other men and nearly 40% admitted to having sex with over 500 other men and they have the list of STDs on their medical records to prove it.
The CDC will never allow this to happen.
I remember when BILL CLINTON, as governor of Arkansas, killed off lots of hemophiliacs by sending out AIDS tainted blood.
