I remember — about 25 years or so ago — a sharecropper who raised his ten children by himself after his wife died.
He put five of the kids trough law school and the other five through medical school. They came back home and had a picture with him. This picture reminds me of that.
I wish I could remember the sharecropper’s name. I think he was in Mississippi.
America has been a beacon of hope for the world. People gave everything they had and left oppression and despair to come her for freedom.
Now many are coming here looking for a life of dependency rather than hope.
