A California trooper has been filmed brutally beating a woman on the side of a highway - but authorities claimed he simply stopped her for her own safety.
A passing motorist recorded the unidentified California Highway Patrol officer as he punched the woman at least 11 times in the head along the 10 Freeway in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
On the video uploaded to YouTube, the woman can be seen trying to protect herself by putting up her hands but she does not appear to resist the trooper.

My personal experience with Blue over California weapons laws cost me ~25 grand in Maple Leafs that "disappeared" from my safe as they "searched" my house for malformed bits of metal. I may be a bit biased.

I don't approve of the unlawful and unprofessional actions of this officer.
Go read the part of the thread I objected to. It was about non-judicial 'jailhouse' punishment of getting other inmates to punish the cop.

The most animalistic, most brutal way to subdue someone is to pound someones head into the concrete ...I don’t see no concrete.
No, relying on the corrupt court system that protects pigs is why you have cops doing this kind of shit. They know they will never be punished. If this wasn’t on YouTube, it wouldn’t have come to light.
If they were afraid of reprisals from the general public, they would be slower on the night stick.
I have analyzed and investigated this incident.
My professional opinion ..he beat the living sh!- out of her.
At the risk of sounding somewhat too technical, California
Highway Patrolmen are not called troopers. They are officers. I know of no California law
enforcement agency which uses the term “trooper” to describe field employees,
certainly not the CHP. The small state police force could
be so titled but I doubt it. Could this be explained by the
fact that the source is from the UK? Don’t know.
Did the officer use the last of his pepper spray on his
lunch time tacos?
On the grasping hand, today is a celebration of telling the king to go fornicate with a turnip, so there is precedence.

So that justifies beating someone like that?
Classic dress-to-oppress. Shame he forgot his jackboots.
How is the weather in Haifa today?

“So that justifies beating someone like that?”
I made no comment on the beating. You are trying to pick a fight with me by implying I said something I didn’t say? I resent that.

I don’t want the same thing to happen to him.
He’s a cop fer Criess sake.
No, I want to mete out the Vendome Just and Proper punishment.
Either the dropping him into a pile of razor wire, from 4 stories up or the long tail cat and shark treatment.
You are right he did first grab her to keep her out of traffic and he was responsible to do so. He then took her down but it looks like she resisted his efforts to put cuffs on her. AT that time he initiated the use of force to force her to let him cuff her....
Restraining her from walking out into traffic was right.
Taking her down and cuffing her when she tried to pull away from him was right. She was a danger to herself and to others who were driving on that side of the freeway.
I also question the amount of force he used to subdue her and make her comply with putting cuffs on her. It appears to be excessive.
I'd vote for your punishment, BTW.
I think government employees should have only one punishment for ANYTHING unlawful that is proven. Death by hanging. Under the rule of law.
