“We the People,” by God’s providence, formed the Constitution of the United States of America. It was a “Model of Liberty.” Its laws favored no people and insured peace and protection for its citizens. It promoted prosperity and every liberty imaginable to a free nation.
America became the greatest nation on earth. “We the People” were united by freedom’s cause. There were no bounds of opportunity in this free society. “We the People” dreamed big dreams, and Yankee ingenuity yielded monetary rewards. “We the People” spoke freely, worshipped freely, and taught their children the benefits of living in a republic, where all were represented equally. “We the People” generously helped other nations. Turned into “Them the government”
We the people wants us a free phone.
We've been presumed to be "we the (corporate) persons" and "we the (corporate) individuals," and we haven't rebutted that presumption.
We the People bent over and asked for more. Look at what that more got us.
We the People have become a calloused lot. . . having attended a Voice of the Martyrs Conference in Indiana last weekend . . . I had to ask the Lord for forgiveness for not faithfully praying for those being persecuted.
Everyone needs to go to the Voice of the Martyrs website. The inhumanity towards people of Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is incomprehensible.

As a missionary who has recently lived in the slums of India - I can attest that what you saw heard at that conference is not only a fraction of what is actually going on out there - but the worst things, things that you can never erase from your mind were only hinted at.
My eyes were opened and we Americans ARE NOT ready to handle what the poorest people on earth are capable of enduring with their faith intact.

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Verse 13 comes before 14.
It is AFTER verse 13 that The Lord gives His People the space of repentance, because obviously they did not heed and repent before God has to do verse 13.
