Nome is used to rowdy residents, but some relatively new transplants are making a real nuisance of themselves -- although unlike the colorful characters of the early 20th century gold rush days, these visitors have four legs, not two.
Musk oxen are wandering into the city on the Seward Peninsula, and despite loud noises, water hoses and even a blow-up bear coated in ursine urine, they don't want to leave.

Putin: In Russia we crush all our red pepper!
Years ago, when I went back to my hometown, I looked for paintings that my dad had done during his life there (hometown boy) and recalled that the high school had one. I asked for permission to take a photo of it, and found another in a church on the west side of town. I didn’t get to take a photo of it, because it was a Sunday, and I had left the camera at home. There was also one in a bank in a small town northeast of us, in the mountains, and a couple in a bank in Salt Lake City.
Some total strangers took a photo of the one in the bank in the small town, but the bank in SLC refused to physically go through the inventory in the vault.
I placed an ad in a local paper and was lucky enough to find two more paintings to the north of us that I was able to photograph. Two paintings I have lost through moving; one is a mural in a bar in Alaska; some are in Reno, and others are in families. There are two in my family that I want photos of, and one I have.
It was how my dad supported us (and himself before we arrived) since he first realized his talent, and he was prolific. I suspect there are more in Casper, WY and Burley ID, as he worked in those cities.
You will find the paintings. Pray about where to look. You will be impressed in the right direction!
That is quite possible. But I haven’t eaten yet today (been busy, not hungry, etc) so I don’t know how that works...
Fort in the storm ... Snow storms coming.

The Basil up-date.
Cold clay ... 6’ down and don’t care at all. Not coming back. Let me sing beneath her waves. Sometimes we hear not a thing. But the trumpet blows. Ain’t a party till shorty throws up.
Back from The Salvation Army. I got two dresses. Also some Major League Baseball t-shirts to use as raffle prizes at the church festival.
Build a world ... Kudos!
It’s important to eat all your daily Points, if you possibly can. Otherwise your metabolism will slow, and you won’t lose weight nearly as easily.
I have trouble with this - I’m prone to eating either not enough, or way too many Points in wine and pretzels!

I figured if I filled up on fruits, I’d be ok. So far, I’ve used six points for today.
And even though I didn’t lose/gain, I’m optimistic for the next week. I’ll meet my eventual goal in the three months I’ve given myself. I don’t know about afterward, as I don’t know how the fees will fit into my budget as it stands now, but I will know more when the time comes to decide.
Can you cook and season your points or do you have to eat ‘em raw.
Raw would never work for me. I really can’t eat raw points. But with some marinades they’re OK.
LOL ... ArGee ... Like the truth in your face, kitteh.
You’ll lose more quickly if you get the protein and fats, too. It’s counterintuitive, but demonstrated by much WW-member experience.
Also, once you’re at goal, it’s free. You just have to weigh in at a meeting or store, once each calendar month.
Raw points are okay in the summer, but in winter they’re better cooked.
It’s hard to imagine ever eating them raw. I like most everything cooked. Burgers, fries, sausages, books.
Especially books.
BOOOOOOOOOORN FREEEEEEEEEEEEEE
AS FREE AS THE WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIND BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWS.
Sorry. Sometimes I just break into song like that.
Carry on.
In case there are any youngsters on the UT, that’s a song about a really big kitteh.
The three months should be ample time to lose the 40 pounds I have targeted. I will have to find a meeting place...or something...
I have to have the protein and fats because of the hypoglycemia. Yesterday, because of the fall and the idiocy following it, I had a low blood sugar episode and that was really ugly.
The stress of today is catching up with me, and I’m not a happy camper. Shawn is supposed to come tomorrow, and his work is cut out for him. HAH!
Time to use up some points!
