Nome is used to rowdy residents, but some relatively new transplants are making a real nuisance of themselves -- although unlike the colorful characters of the early 20th century gold rush days, these visitors have four legs, not two.
Musk oxen are wandering into the city on the Seward Peninsula, and despite loud noises, water hoses and even a blow-up bear coated in ursine urine, they don't want to leave.

I have to admit, I usually fail to provide the answer in the form of a question.
I go full on “mad science” laugh.
:-(
I sometimes annoy myself by blurting out my presumptive answer just as the contestant does, and then I don’t hear any confirmation.
Was I right? I don’t know!
Of course, if I know it, and don’t say anything, I won’t get credit for that either.
“I knew that,” I say.
“Sure, Bob. Uh-huh.” Is the response.
It’s a tough crowd.
“What do you mean it isn’t ‘build a battledroid to subjugate them’?! VERYBODY knows that’s the right answer!” - me, shouting at Alex through the screen a couple years back.
“Must be stated in the form of a question!”
*at that moment, hideous stomping laserbots should rush in and steal Trebeks hair!*

But that's down south a bit. There are no hills around these parts. Just Iron Triangles...
Umm..
Yes.
Really sad when it happens because all that blue smoke escapes...
Ah good,Your Wagon train arrived safley.
Afternoon, Moose07. 20C and 90% humidity. Shannon went out.
Good Morning TC,
20C, 75% and Overcast.
Will have to disappear in a bit.
(10:49) :)
Hope you have a good day!
I’m checking in, finally. I will be going home this morning because this is a holiday weekend and I don’t want to be caught in the idiotic traffic on the I-95. Besides, I need to take my pills, and set them up for the week. I would have done it yesterday, but if I have already taken a dose and then fill the container, I get confused.
My foot was bothering me a lot yesterday, but we went several places so it isn’t surprising. It actually hurt.
Thursday, I have a doctor’s appointment, and will see if I can get it x-rayed, then, though I hate the thought of any more radiation on my body.
Change the colors on that cat, make the eyes smaller and the nose and mouth broader and you have a tiger...that is a tiger face, for sure!
It’s going to be 106 at McCarran airport today, but it will be higher in Henderson where I live. I like it there!
It looks like the monsoons are over with for this year.
Have a good day, (evening?) Moosie!
Hello! I hope you have a good drive and a better day. Maybe your foot will be enough better by Thursday that you won’t need the x-ray.
You know our cats would munch and crunch us if they were just big enough!
DP and Bill were going to drop Pat off at Jeremy’s Eagle project, and then they’re going to the gym. I intend to mop today, but Kathleen keeps turning up with complaints!
Thanks for my first lol of the day!
You’re welcome!
Grumpy Gus is a little miffed that I came home when I did. He wanted me to go with him to the county shooting range, and I just don’t think I could do it without hurting my foot.
Anyway, I have to go back on Monday to do my laundry, so he can just stew until then, if he so desires.
Got my pills done and I’m out of olive leaf extract. My bad. I hate when I do that.
I think you made a smart decision. Gus should respect the fact that you have an injury, and he can go to the gun range on his own.
He’s got a Glock 30 and 225 rounds of ammunition and a “get in free” first time pass, so he can go have manly fun. I’ll wait my turn for when my foot feels better.
Excellent plan. Bill picked Pat up from the Eagle project. Vicki hasn’t come to ask for a ride. I may take a nap after my vegetable soup.
