Nome is used to rowdy residents, but some relatively new transplants are making a real nuisance of themselves -- although unlike the colorful characters of the early 20th century gold rush days, these visitors have four legs, not two.
Musk oxen are wandering into the city on the Seward Peninsula, and despite loud noises, water hoses and even a blow-up bear coated in ursine urine, they don't want to leave.

I finished my work. It will be chapter nine of the third section of the book that used to be known as the short story about Timmy.

Anyone who reads a sermon or a hymn I wrote, pretty much knows I'm faking it.

Well, I did get away with putting out a sermon before.
Something to the effect of “Love thy neighbor, but don’t get caught”.

It’s not so much the prevention, it’s the education.
Our Church has an on-line site for posting prayer requests. One of the recent request was from a woman asking us to pray she wasn’t pregnant because it wasn’t the right time for her and her “partner.” She wanted prayer so she could focus on an important audition scheduled that day.
See, if she were only worried about having been made pregnant by her husband she would have been in a totally different place. Following God in the first place would have made the prayer unnecessary

LOL Bob ... Too many to mention (on one post) must have read that one. Did that one have a song with the sermon? The reason am asking is because am currently involved (by being a follower) in a series at Church attend with a similar message ... just kidding of course. Pastor is preaching on Love, Faith and Marriage.

My former sermon was just a rehash of something I heard once in church.
You see, the way I heard it, when you do good works, you should do them anonymously, and not so’s you can get credit for it.
So if you do a favor for your neighbor, ‘cause you like that person, it’s really an act of love, right? But you don’t want to go boasting about it to get credit for it, so you have to love your neighbor, but don’t get caught.
It’s a simple game.

Life is religion - religion is life.
Neither one is to be confused with a mass of rules that lots of people talk about but few follow.

"Life is religion - religion is life.

Yeah, because that's business, and the tax code. which is a whole 'nuther can of worms. It's that, but it's also people who just want a set of rules to follow rather than getting to know God because the first is so much easier. Also, when you are following rules it's OK to look for loopholes. But when you're focused on a relationship the loopholes vanish.
