Nome is used to rowdy residents, but some relatively new transplants are making a real nuisance of themselves -- although unlike the colorful characters of the early 20th century gold rush days, these visitors have four legs, not two.

Musk oxen are wandering into the city on the Seward Peninsula, and despite loud noises, water hoses and even a blow-up bear coated in ursine urine, they don't want to leave.

Moose ... at the church they hold children's church each Sunday Morning. The youth Pastor was teaching the children about the Resurrection and the youth Pastor threw out this question. Children ... Which of you can tell me about the Resurrection. Timmy raised his hand and the youth Pastor called on Timmy. Timmy said, "Pastor the TV says if you have one for more than four hours to call a doctor!"

Another Sunday Morning, another meeting with the children and the Youth Pastor ... The Youth Pastor is busy passing out the names (1,000 or more) to the children of all the people whom have died as a result of church service explains the Youth Pastor. The children are horrified and then one brave child has the nerve to ask the Youth Pastor this question ... Pastor, did these people die at the 8:30 service, or the 10:30 service?
