Nome is used to rowdy residents, but some relatively new transplants are making a real nuisance of themselves -- although unlike the colorful characters of the early 20th century gold rush days, these visitors have four legs, not two.
Musk oxen are wandering into the city on the Seward Peninsula, and despite loud noises, water hoses and even a blow-up bear coated in ursine urine, they don't want to leave.

Keeping? I am absolutely not keeping anything illegal. And since here in NYC nearly everything is illegal, I'm not keeping anything.
Things are good here. It's been remarkably cool all summer long. I could learn to like this global warming thingie.

FYI: Busdaddy has lost a total of 58 pounds. He wants to lose another 50, but I think it’s unrealistic at this point.
He should probably stop at another 40.

Glad to hear it. Keeping is illegal as well, uh? :)
Best get used to this Warming thingie, the Australian real temperature data is showing a cooling trend.
So the Homogenise (whatever that is) the data to show a Warming trend.....
If they have to mess with it to show warming, it must be cooling. d:-)
We’ve had a Hot Summer up until two weeks ago. Now it is a more normal Wet and Cool again.

Can’t you just claim that losing all that weight would be bad for the environment or something?
I mean, if you lose it, it has to wind up somewhere. And if it’s not good for people ...
