Nome is used to rowdy residents, but some relatively new transplants are making a real nuisance of themselves -- although unlike the colorful characters of the early 20th century gold rush days, these visitors have four legs, not two.
Musk oxen are wandering into the city on the Seward Peninsula, and despite loud noises, water hoses and even a blow-up bear coated in ursine urine, they don't want to leave.

Bill could park the car a few yards back, but he’s too ditzy. Each time I tell him to move it, it’s like it’s a totally new concept.

I will look next time he lays down. He was just outside and jumped off the front porch (3ft) landed on all 3 legs. would he be able to do that if it was his hips?

That is a good sign the pelvis is square.
Just a possibility it’s a dislocated hip ball joint.
Hopefully nothing more.

He has no problem with me touching his back at all. It isn’t hot either.

Maybe he just stepped on a piece of Lego, or the outdoor equivalent, and has a minor bruise.

I see. It’s as I suspected...Mom will shelter him forever so why bother to expend energy on self-improvement. Yah. I’ve seen him in other guise. I pity his mom...

Listening to Limbaugh doesn’t make a person honest, upstanding, moral or compassionate.
I don’t listen to Limbaugh because I choose not to hear things I can’t change because of my circumstances. However, I know lots of people who DO listen, and they can, and often DO, try to make changes.
However, a mail carrier has a job with specific guidelines, and if he doesn’t follow those guidelines (...neither rain nor snow, etc...) it doesn’t matter who he listens to. He can still be written up.

"Twas a case of: Work or next stop Silicone heaven." That sounds like a cushy place to retire. Might be enjoyable.
Maybe you meant to say "silicon heaven"; different concept entirely. You get treated like dirt there.

Perhaps it should be required of him more often. It would appear that he has a lazy streak. I was married to a guy like that once...it didn’t last long...

It would be like owning Piper. He sits around looking pretty and ignoring everyone unless he wants food or needs to use the bathroom.
