Hmm...looks like it might have some potential. I love a good vampire flick.

Nothing will ever top “Bram Stoker’s Dracula” for me, though.

The one with Gary Oldham? That was a good one!

Bring back some John Wayne type westerns. I am tired of seeing people bite each other when fistfights will do.

Yeah, I saw the World Cup too. ;-)

They’re out there. Well they’re cop shows set in the middle of no where, like Justified and Longmire, but they have a lot of the old western ethos.

Dracula has sort of been done to death (no pun intended). I still think Bela Lugosi was the best Dracula and that was the best movie.

The one with Winona Ryder was pretty good.

The western is dead.

That’s the one. IMO that movie had it all-—history, gorgeous cinematography, and good scares.

Yes, Lugosi was from the right place, had the right height, right face, and the perfect voice and accent. Dewight Frye placyed Renfield perfectly as both the sane businessman and the enslaved lunatic.

The book is excellent.

I love it. I read it for the first time in junior high school.

"Bring back some John Wayne type westerns."

How about Humphrey Bogart as a vampire?

"The Return of Doctor X," 1939, Warner Bros.

I love that movie. Oldman was spectacular, and the entire story was true to the book. I loved the manner of speaking, the costumes, the visuals, and the horror of the whole thing.

We have it on laser disc and on DVD.

We still have an old VHS copy (don’t know why) and the DVD. It’s one of my absolute favorites; I can watch it again and again. Everything in that film just came together perfectly.

Gary Oldman will always be “Dracul” to me.

Oh, I forgot about the music, including the song by Annie Lennox which plays over the closing credits. It’s wonderful, too.

Bryan keeps things. We have a bunch of video tapes, laser discs, and now a whole lot of DVDs.

We research TV show reviews, and if the shows sound good, we buy them as each season comes
out. We have quite a few of them.

We don’t have cable or TV reception, so we have no alternative if we want to watch the good shows.
Stargate, Stargate Universe, Star Trek (TOS, NG, and Voyager), Paladin, The Avengers, Game of
Thrones (a bit too pornographic, but a good story), True Blood, Farscape, Starhunter (very cheesy,
but **Michael Paré — need I say more?), Being Human, and who knows what he’s going to buy next?

** Streets of Fire with Michael Paré and Diane Lane. We really liked the music. We have it.

Hmm...looks like it might have some potential. I love a good vampire flick.

It looks to be a blending of the true story of Vlad Tepes with the fictional "Dracula" vampire mythos.
