“Apple security updates.”
Who woulda thunk it? ;-)
Yes, Apple has security updates. I can assure you that OSX is 100x more secure than any Windows. In addition, Microsoft’s software updater on Mac constantly downloads huge patches for Office. Clearly, Microsoft’s software has structural security issues.
Done with no problems as usual!

Who allegedly alleged this?
I’m running OS Version 10.6.8 on my late 2008 MacBook. I just doubled the RAM from 2 to 4 GB which is supposed to make it easier for Mavericks to run. But I am concerned that older software programs I use, like Office for Mac 2011, may not be compatible with an upgrade to Mavericks.
You didn’t get a virus on your Mac unless you entered your password to elevate privileges.
- AppleCare and Aplle upgrades are joke
- These jokers cannot even set up “Share my screen” or correct their POP email bugs
Yes! Just got a new MacBookPro and have been waiting for this ;)
The new iPhones are just around the corner!
That is why I will only update the Adobe Flash software manually from their website. However, I was not able to find how to update Adobe AIR manually, so when I open software that uses Adobe AIR I'll get a pop-up window notification to update. In that case, I have entered the password to update it, and hoped that it wasn't a scam.
Thanks for the ping.
I upgraded to the previous version of Mavericks and no problem with Office for Mac 2011.
Thank you! I may give it a whirl. Did you find the latest OS to be an improvement?
Everything seems to work so seamlessly with their products that I seldom notice any differences.
Thanx for the ping. Downloading now.
Even then, it is not a "virus". . . there are a grand total of zero Mac OSX viruses. There are some things that are classified as "malware" and only a few that affect modern OSX Macs. There are seven known families of OSX Trojans with a total of 54 variants, all of which the OSwhich is updated when ever a new variant is discoveredwill protect you against if you let it. That means DON'T ignore the warning when it pops up!
What would cause "some Macs" to exhibit this behavior and not others? They are pretty much identical.
