Not to be the pessimist in the crowd. But, if things go as they usually go, she will be an addict, twice married and with two kids by the time she is 18. UNLESS, she has strong parents willing to stand up to her future handlers and with a level head on her shoulders.

Her name is Carly Rose Sonenclar from Mamaroneck, NY. The video was from her audition for the 2012 US X-Factor show which she went on to win 2nd place overall in December of 2012.
Along with starring in several Broadway shows, a couple of movies, and playing Gilda Flip on PBS’s Electric Company kid’s show, she starred in an episode of Law and Order: SVU that aired in November 2013.
She is now 15 years old. Columbia Records has signed her to a record deal and she is currently working on a debut album of original songs.
Be prepared to be shocked then. She isn't all that good. I bet that on any given day in any middle school or high school talent show, you could find many equal or even better and more talented singers than her.
She wasn’t “bad” but then again there was nothing exceptional about her voice. And the problem I have with it is while she has some range, most of it was IMO, rang and sounded rather flat in spots in terms of her hitting the actual notes. It sounded to me like a rather mediocre voice or even bad singer who is made to sound better via the “magic” of a sound technician using “auto tune”.
I’m just not a big fan of this style of singing and to compare her to Nina Simone is simply ridiculous.
The kid sang the lyrics to the same song and she sang a lot of notes but there was just no “soul” or feeling in it.
Color me unimpressed.

Thank you for posting. Carly Rose is a name soon to be learned worldwide IMO! Such stage presence at that age is unusual.
