A video uploaded online shows a woman pulled to the ground, handcuffed and placed in the back of a patrol vehicle after she asked a San Diego deputy to identify himself during a traffic stop.
The video shows San Diego Sheriff's Department deputies walking toward Bana Mouwakeh's silver Volkswagen on October 11 of last year, 10 News reported.
Mouwakeh is heard saying to Deputy Agustin Rosas Verion, 'I want your full name.' She grabs his traffic vest in order to see his ID tag.
...As I was explaining to Mouwakeh the citation, she reached out the driver's side window, grabbed my Sheriff's Department safety vest and pulled it toward her causing the velcro on the side of my vest to be un-done.'

Twenty miles over the speed limit is the normal thing in California. When in the Sacramento area, I was doing 70 on a freeway posted at 60. That was not fast enough for the other drivers. They were blasting past me at 90! I never saw anything like it. When the cops want to raise some revenue with a couple thousand speeding tickets, all they have to do is pick a freeway--any freeway in California. There is big money to be made.
And if she held on and drove off...guess who gets dragged down the street....
I know it is en vogue to hate on cops in some circles and lord knows some cops are guilty of bringing dishonor to the profession.
However...in what world was it ever appropriate to grab a cop by his uniform. Does anyone ever remember getting advice from your wise old grand pappy saying this was normal or acceptable?
I agree. The Soldier of the King initiated the disrespect by his demeanor from the start and his refusal to respond to a simple request for his name that was covered up by a vest. I think this “Brute Squad Guy” was well aware that his name was covered up and took delight that it was keeping his identity hidden from the public, so he could play his bullying games. He does not fool me.
>> Ask me how I know about the “trained weird-out mode”.
Cuz you noticed powdered sugar on a LEO’s holster?
No raised voices, no punches, simple directions which were easy to understand, no true force used, called he maam.
You are picking the wrong incident tk hang your anti authority banner upon.
You are assuming she knew what was written on the ticket. Perhaps his name was written, but he wrote it like my doctor writes his prescription. She repeatedly asked for his name and he said nothing. That was disrespect. And he knew it because that was part of his game to push her buttons. Some officers have that game to a science.
Well, tickets can't be issued by anonymous phantom police officers. There's always a paper trail.
Well... they can... but trying to get you to show up in court could be a challenge...
She had no business reaching, touching or moving hands towards the officer. It made the situation elevated. Would you do that?! I really don’t care what you would decide to do because it’s your right to make that call, see. I am not doing it because I don’t want cops pulling me to the ground; having myself to deal with that situation. And, part of the driver’s job is to not move toward he officer.
Of course the cops were in the right. As usual. /s
I have no idea what’s written on them. I haven’t had a ticket in 30 years. I know I would want the officer’s name or number from the badge.
Do we know she wasn’t illegal. With a name like that I’m thinking at least H1B visa from Iran. I know its racist.
Assault? Really?
I have been kissed harder than she touched him.
Malice? On her part, I think she was just clueless. If stupidity is a crime, why isn't half the population in prison?
Enjoy your chains, citizen.
Since people here seem to think its on to grab and pull at cops to get information from them, I assume that it is ok for cops to do the same....since the rules should be applied equally? For Gods sake his name and badge number would be on the summons!
That being said...ehhh, was an overreaction on his part...
I'll bite. How do you know about the "trained weird-out mode"?
Not her. The policeman.
A steroids/drug test should be MANDATORY for any cop involved in a shooting or other officer-caused death.
We ask no less of a bus driver or train engineer, why not a cop?
Most places have that policy already in place.
Much higher, Alaska Wolf got that many TWICE in the same thread. Alas, he is no more...
BTW, The nuked posts have been resurrected...
I turn on the dome light and map lights.
