Residents in Jackson, Miss., are putting the heat on a local KFC outlet after a three-year-old girl who was attacked by pit bulls was asked to leave because her scars scared customers.
Kelly Mullins, Victoria Wilcher's grandmother, told WAPT News that they received the rude request after ordering some food at the restaurant last week.
"They just told us, they said, 'We have to ask you to leave because her face is disrupting our customers.' (Victoria) understood exactly what they said," Mullins told the station.
"The right side of her face is paralyzed. She's got a lot of surgeries to go through and she won't even look in the mirror anymore," Mullins said. "When we go to a store, she doesn't even want to get out (of the car). She's 3 years old and she's embarrassed about what she looks like. She's embarrassed and I hate it because she shouldn't be. It ain't her fault."
The girl has received a tidal wave of support on the Facebook page Victoria's Victories, which documents her recovery from the attack at her grandfather's home.
Last Thursday, KFC posted an apology on the page.
"Pease accept our sincere apologies while we try to investigate this incident. If you could help provide details of the incident at social.media@sertec.com and we will look into this immediately. We have zero tolerance for any kind of disrespectful behavior by our team members. Once we have further details, we will immediately investigate this and take action, and we wish nothing but the best for Victoria in her recovery."
According to the Facebook page, the vicious pit bull attack left Wilcher with a broken upper and lower jaw, broken nose, cheek bones and right eye socket.
"She lost her right eye completely and the ability to move the right side of her face. They have reconstructed her bottom jaw but cant do anymore surgeries until she grows new bone in her face due to the fact that the broken pieces are to small to piece together.
"She is currently at home with a feeding tube, but doing amazing."
This is horrible if it’s true, but I’m having a hard time buying it. I suspect a quest for “cha-ching.”

Me, too. Although the manager could have been a plain idiot—any pictures of the guy who made the decision?
I hate litigious people, but I really think this is a chance for KFC to be improved:
I hope she sues them into oblivion.
It’s more likely that some knuckle-dragger patron complained to management, and then management made the wrong call.
They caught the two responsible for this and they turned out not to be KFC employees:

Betcha the idiot was a tolerant liberal. I wanna see this guy get a right wing media colonoscopy when his name comes out. Because I’d bet the farm on his political affiliation. Why? Because this is what a liberal ‘IS” inside.
Sadly, with the trend of corruption in business, government and academic administration, there will be many more children mauled like that. And the market interests of the troublemakers will continue torturing them.
Boycott, avoid buying anything that you don’t really need. Embark on a permanent pursuit of becoming more self-sufficient in housing, energy and food. Learn to make something useful as a hobby for now.
Unfortunate if true. Also nobody’s business. Everything is being socialize then federalized. This is between KFC and franchisee. And KFC, franchisee and child and her family.
Butt out!
I’d “boycott” KFC but I can’t afford to eat there anymore anyway. LOL! Damn they’re high!
I’ll put the focus where I choose and where it should be.
Thank you anyway.
Responsible for the girls injuries (they’re kin) but not for the restaurant incident. That is something different and you cannot absolve the KFC employees at this time.
But if by some awful circumstance it is true, the KFC employee should have shamed the complainant to the max.
A little girl disturbs you? Shame on you.
You said it right -- it is alleged -- that's all you've got here from the grandmother who no doubt is suffering guilt from this.
And so what if they did ask her to leave -- what is that compared to the damage that this little girl suffered because of the stupidity of her family.
Ohhh but let's blame KFC on the basis of the grandmother's allegations.
