JACKSON, Miss. A 3-year-old girl who was attacked by pit bulls in April was asked to leave a Jackson restaurant because her scars scared customers, the girl's grandmother told 16 WAPT News.
"Does this face look scary to you?" accompanied a picture of Victoria Wilcher on the Facebook page Victoria's Victories, which documents the child's recovery from the attack at her grandfather's home in Simpson County. Authorities said one of Donald Mullins' dogs ripped open the back door and jumped on the girl. Two other dogs dragged her into the back yard and began mauling her, investigators said.
"The right side of her face is paralyzed. She's got a lot of surgeries to go through and she won't even look in the mirror anymore," said Victoria's grandmother, Kelly Mullins. "When we go to a store, she doesn't even want to get out (of the car). She's 3 years old and she's embarrassed about what she looks like. She's embarrassed and I hate it because she shouldn't be. It ain't her fault."

Its completely possible. I’ll give you that.
But when I look at the mentality of the average liberal, I have no difficulty whatsoever believing that one of them would do exactly this.
They are considered human garbage for good reason.
“scared” by scars? Something is wrong in their heads. Apparently some part of their non-functioning minds tells them that the scars are going to attack them and hurt them.
Maybe they meant “disgusted” and can’t finish their meals. That’s something different, but they didn’t say that. Did they mean that, but thought that they would get more support if they said “scared”?
The restaurant should be closed. If I was an owner of an restaurant and it happened, I would fire the manager, the servers and write the family of the victim a letter of apology with an offer of free meals.
I’m with you. And strong-headed breeds need a lot of attention, exercise and consistent discipline to be part of the family. If the dogs don’t get it, then they take over and do what they want.
So then you are saying that the little girl's grandfather who owns the dogs is the one to blame.
Then why didn't you say so???
Any owner of a dog who does this should be thrown in jail -- starting with this grandfather.
Yes. And the dogs need to be exterminated also.
She’s a cute little girl who has been through a trauma, not an ogre in the least. Something doesn’t sound right. More to this, imho.
Yeah...but YOU aren't the little girl.
There's a lot of tough, bad things in the world. Maybe we should ban all those things, so people like you won't be intimidated or offended.
I bet you're one of those people who are scared of Pop Tarts chewed into the shape of a gun.
You're probably one of them anti gunners too. I mean "Why do people keep these dangerous animals guns? They need to be exterminated destroyed for the public good. Its as dangerous as keeping lions as pets guns for sport.
She does not look horrifying, and her remaining eye is beautiful.
I wonder how this restaurant would react if one of our disabled veterans were to walk in, with a face nearly destroyed and odd-colored, and with mangled hands and arms and missing fingers because injuries from IEDs leave permanent disfigurement. Would the restaurant ask the veteran to leave?
Like.
When I dropped in to visit I heard Rob and Magnum playing in the back yard. As I approached the gate the neighbor warned me of a very dangerous Pit Bull. I opened the gate.
50 pounds of Pit Bull came at me at a dead run. The neighbor was frozen with terror. I clasped my hands together about a foot in front of me palms up. Magnum did a flying leap from 10 feet away, landing with rear paws on my hands and front paws on my shoulder.
Magnum proceeded to whine with joy as he slobbered me up one good. The neighbor needed new underwear.
Isn't is just possible that the anti-pit bull folks here are using logic when denouncing these dogs?
I agree with you that one dramatic story should not define a policy. But these attacks are happening over and over again. It's the owner's fault for sure. But it's also in the breed. A pit bull is not a poodle. That's a cold hard fact. No weepy liberal emotion in that statement.
Livius,
I would prefer it happen as a result of public boycott instead of freaken big gub mint getting its ugly ass head involved.
Also a few weeks ago the wife and I spent 5 days in St. Augustine and found the food at Caps as well as the view of the airport across the intercoastal to be wonderful.
Learned quite a lot and had an overall very nice time. Course the Castle De San Marcos.
WOuld they ask the large black men in baggy clothes to leave if they frightened customers?
This happened to a friend of mine who was wounded in Iraq.
Americans have become such wimps.
The little girl and the wounded vets are all welcomed at my table.
The family loves her, yes, but to be brutally honest, whoever it was that decided it was okay to take a 3 year old child to a residence with one dozen adult pit bulls, was top of the line STUPID. If the grandad wants to run a kennel of these beasts for whatever reason, that is his legal (for now) right to do so. What you don’t do is purposely deliver a helpless child in that environment.
And yesterday at Starbucks there was a guy who’s entire head was tattooed. He scared my grand daughter, heck he scared me. It never occurred to me to ask him to leave.
“Pit bulls are not naturally mean dogs. If they are mean its because some human made them so. “
Not so! Their genes tell the tale. So do the horrible scars on my friend’s leg, the result of his Staffordshire suddenly attacking him whilst he was on the phone talking to a friend. Daisy had been a very lovable, and well loved, dog, until she suddenly snapped. They are a very dangerous breed because of what they carry in their genes.
Worst of all was the grandfather exposing her—or anyone else—to three pit bulls. What she has to suffer from an incredibly rude fast-food staffer is nothing compared to what she has suffered and will continue to suffer due to the grandfather’s macho idiocy.
I am a bit troubled by that thought. I read the KFC response to her claim. They were completely sorry about it. The very first thing KFC asked for was MORE DETAILS about her encounter.
I do hope the Grandmthr did not mistake a customer’s sour expression as a ‘registered complaint’, then Grandman decides to ‘embellish’ the story with a classic scene of rejection. It happens quite a bit these days. Recall the lesbian waitress who lied. Get people wound up into an emotional story, then set up your Pay Pal Account to monetize the sympathy. If she had a dated receipt that should help pin the time down. All KFC’s these days have a camera running, so you don’t end up with any ‘Waffle House’ type riots. There should be filmed footage of what visibly occurred and in what sequence.
The risk of a dog grows not only with size and power but also with a breed bred to fight and the idiocy of the type of owners who put others at risk by owning such unnecessary hazards.
