Margaret Howe Lovatt, who worked for the agency in the 1960s, was involved in an experiment to help teach dolphins how to communicate with humans. One of the mammals, Peter, took a liking to her and ‘would rub himself on my knee, my foot or my hand and I allowed that,’ the woman said.

Adolescent male dolphins do occasionally become aroused around human females at those “swim with the dolphins” tourist attractions, often enough that people are warned about it. It takes a special kind of warped to encourage and participate. Stupid, too. To be intentionally vague, they’re not exactly compatible.
