I know, busy race weekend. I don’t have enough cable to hook all the TV’s up in one room to watch it all. Afraid I’d over load the modem/router with feeds.

GREEN!

Good day for racing tomorrow and some serious speed at MIS these days. I only live about 6 miles away but I just don’t feel like fighting traffic these days when I can watch on TV.

same here... ~7 miles from WGI but easier/more comfortable to watch than at the track

I’ve gone down for things like practice and qualifying and its not bad getting in and out but its a sweatbox when its a full house. August is even worse.

I wish they had a night race at Michigan but it will never happen because its so close to town. If you’re in Brooklyn when there’s a car on the track, it rattles the winders.

I can even hear them from my house 6 miles away.

A road course night race would be cool. Watkins Glenn would be awesome.

we actually did have a couple three 24 hour races back in the late 80's early 90's, the Firestone FireHawk Series...

iirc they were boycotting LeMans or something at the time

#1 Audi just had a 5 1/2 minute pit stop for tires, fuel, driver and an injector change

I wish I had gotten over to the Detroit Grand Prix two weeks ago. Its a pretty big deal now with two races.

Its got a way to go but its getting there. The state took control of Belle Isle as a state park. Dan Gilbert and Roger Penske have dumped a bunch of money into restoration and repairs. I believe the roads are being torn up now for complete rebuilding.

Penske and Gilbert swear they will bring the F-1 series to town before they’re done.

Its going to be all new track next year.

that could be a real traffic nightmare too... when we goto the Canadian GP we take the subway from the hotel to the track and back, it's only ~1 block away

I’d just go with my Brother In law who works downtown. We could park in the garage where he parks at compuware and take a shuttle to the island.

Remembered it was flag day yesterday at 11:00am and hoisted Old Glory. Both ‘dogs came home sick from L.A. and are still hack’n and cough’n so no church today. I see that JJ was fastest in practice yesterday w/Gordon and Harvick following. KK was 5th; don’t know where Jr ended up.

Seven granite countertops being installed tomorrow then plumbing and tile-backsplash work. Leaving for Sonoma Friday and we are hoping it will be warmer this time then 2 years ago when we froze our butts off. It better be - we’ll be taking the 335i convertible.

Adderall helps hyperactive and ADHD kids focus and allow them to act ‘normally’. It’s taken by college kids to allow them to have a kind-of ‘hyper-focus’ and get things (like term papers & research) done.

I think you can see where a race car driver could use that kind of focus.
