Way to de-motivate your players. Dumb comments by Klinsmann.

Michael Wilbon thinks Jurgen Klinsmann should 'get out of America' Ive known Kobe Bryant, Wilbon said. And you, Mr. Klinsmann, are no damn Kobe Bryant. I mean seriously, Mr. Klinsmann now wants to tell all of American sports how to work. Get the hell out. Get out of America. If everything here you want to coach this team fine. You havent won anything. Youre so gutless you went out and said oh, our team cant win, we cant win. Youre supposed to be such a great coach, why are they paying you? Theyre apparently paying you for something you did not only yesterday, but somewhere else about 4,000 miles away. I repeat: Get the hell out. When did Klinsmann become an expert on American sports?

You do your best.
You never know when a team shows up in poor health with injuries or flu.

This years squad is very young, which likely explains Klinsmanns controversial decision to leave 32-year-old Landon Donovan off the roster. Isn't that cicular reasoning? Oh well, it is CBS, after all.

Good that the first game is Ghana. Beat them and the USA has a chance to advance. Lose and it’s all over. Tie against Ghana also probably means it’s all over.

Didn’t the United States lose to third-world Ghana when the games were in second-world South Africa in 2010?
Sorry, folks, I can’t take this sport seriously when a squad from a country best known for internet scamming beats the U.S. in some second-rate country.
Now they are playing in Brazil — a country so ill prepared to finish their venues that they are leaving design elements off. And let’s not even talk about the corruption that brought the 2022 games to Qatar — a country the size of frigging Connecticut.

So we're sending a team down there to participate in an event, a glorified exhibition. If that's the case I'll watch the Brazilian grandmother bikini contest. It's a heckuva lot more entertaining.
