The father of one of the girls accused of brutally stabbing a school friend to pay homage to an eerie horror story character, apparently encouraged his daughter's sick obsession by proudly posting a sketch the 12-year-old drew of the scary figure on Instagram.
Morgan Geyser, 12, drew the sinister stickman, inspired by an online ghost story about a ghoulish child killer called Slender Man, on a napkin and left it in the family home while she was out with her parents were out for dinner.
But far from being alarmed by the disturbing sketch, Morgan's father Matt seemed to find it amusing and posted it on his social network account.
Beneath the picture he wrote: 'Only Mogo (Morgan) draws Slenderman in crayon on a napkin when we are out to dinner'. He tagged Morgan's mother Angela in the post and four of his friends, 'liked it' MailOnline can reveal Matt Geyser is a death metal fan, who uses the Instagram name, Deadboy420.
Matt Geyser is a fan of the 'stoner rock' band 'Deadboy and the Elephantmen'.
Email addresses linked to Matt Geysers name and address on public records include the words ILOVEEVIL or variously ILOVEEVIL666.
He recently posted a picture of a ticket for a Shadows Fall concert, a group with albums including Of One Blood and The War Within.
His wife Angie has also posted a number of pictures of skulls and one eerie image of a church and grave yard at night on her Instagram page.
Mr Geyser's apparent knowledge of his daughter's obsession with the Slender Man character comes as a worrying new development in the gruesome attack that left a 12-year-old fighting for her life.
It is also concerning that he recognized the ghostly figure from a simple, stickman sketch, seemingly proving he had prior knowledge...

Great case for reasons to promo sterilization
What is this Slenderman crap? Can anyone fill me in?
I heard a caller “relating” his own encounter with “Slenderman” on the nutball replacement for Art Bell’s radio program (not sure if this was truly “Coast to Coast or the guy who comes on just before it).
I tuned in to hear his spin (if any) on the Bergdahl controversy (a lot of government facts weren’t matching up with reality).
such a proud papa
*barf*
Little girl is sick and so is the other one. Nothing normal in her mind. Needs to be locked up and watched 24/7 for the next 20 years.
A bunch of people playing with madness.
And then somehow they are surprised by the outcome when mayhem ensues.
His daughter will have a lot of time on her hands for drawing now, probably 30 years or so. It was a miracle the ‘friend’ survived. The knife missed a heart artery by one millimeter.
This story becomes less surprising.
Lock up the father and mother after they have been sterilized.
Apparently there is a website called “Creepypasta” where people submit ‘ghost stories’. Slenderman is a character who has pasta growing out of his back. These girls wanted to prove that Slenderman is a true person who lives in the Nicolet Forest (north of Milwaukee). In order to be “worthy” of Slenderman’s notice they had to kill somebody.
Don’t ask. The whole thing sounds bonkers to me, and I don’t know why any parent would encourage their child to engage in this pastime.
If you can buy that there is a really skinny guy with pasta growing out of his back, I suppose you can buy that these children were going to be able to WALK to the Nicolet Forest which is about 150-200 miles north of Waukesha.
A guy who posted to a horror fiction fan website posted some photoshopped B&W pics that featured a bone-thin, well-dressed, faceless figure - to make it look like it was a Bigfoot sighting.
People were taken with the photos and started to crowdsource a backstory for the photos.
Pretty soon horror fiction fans were posting stories, pretend news items, etc. that discussed the "Slender Man."
Now there are thousands of of photoshopped pics, faked police reports, fake news stories, short stories, novels, pseudohistorical monographs, etc. about "Slender Man."
That wiki article was full of psychobabble about how wonderful and culturally significant it all was.
About as meaningful as a grumpy cat meme.
People involved in these kinds of thrill killings at young ages usually get out on parole after a few years, unless they live in the deep South.
In a much different, sterner, time Caril Ann Fugate only served 17 years for her crimes.
Lionel Tate murdered a 6 year old when he was 12. I don't think he served even 5 years for that crime.
LOL
They have, apparently, invited demons into their lives.
When a society rejects God, this is what you get.
Slenderman is nothing more than a internet version of a scary old timey campfire story.
No doubt the mentally ill of the past have done bad things inthe name of the boogieman and the wickerman whatever from campfire sotries of the past.
The mentally ill gravitate to such stories of lore and will in some cases act them out with disasterous results.
Nothing new really just the medium has changed.
