That’s four seconds too many. Somebody who’s really good should be able to toss an apple in the air, pull a switchblade knife out of his pocket, open it, peel, halve, and core the apple, and have the knife back in his pocket as he catches the two halves of the apple with his other hand.
The manly way of peeling an apple!
Depends on the variety of apple. Some have peels that soften when cooked, others have peels that toughen when cooked. I prefer the kind that soften, because I can leave them on and no one even notices. Not because they’re more nutritious, but because I’m lazy enough to want to skip steps if I can get away with it.
On the other hand, if you’re making an applesauce, the peels would change the color and some people with prefer taking them off.

If you do not have more than five seconds to peel an apple, you do not have a life. This is nothing more than someone wanting his five seconds of fame. Get a life beyond this, please, before I go into my....you do not want to know that part.
Before eating any fruit’s peel wash it thoroughly because the growers may have sprayed the tree with bug killer spray.
I had 2 apple trees in my backyard and they produced 1000 apples every year. Except every one had worms in it. I did not want to use poison spray so we just removed the worms and cooked the apples thoroughly.
What a mess!
I never quite figured out why people peel away the best part of an apple.
Now....having just watched the video I am definitely going to volunteer to peel and apple the next time someone asks me to do that for them.
