News host Bill OReillys fourth book in his multimillion-selling history series will examine the mysterious death surrounding famed World War II Gen. George Patton.
Stephen Rubin, president and publisher of Henry Holt and Company, announced Wednesday that Killing Patton will be published on Sept. 23. Martin Dugard will be the co-author.

Exactly. Yet O'Reilly will trumpet his singular genius and insight for months to come after the release.
The circumstances during the last days of WWII aren’t exactly as described in high school history books. We do know Stalin manipulated FDR through his advisers. We also know things weren’t tied up neatly. Churchill and FDR weren’t in agreement on a post war Europe. Patton’s death was convenient and curious.
same donovan who “they” wanted to make a gen in USMC WWII, until USMC rebelled, the the oss idea came next and took form...somewhere in my evans f carlson (raiders) writings...

Actually, he died in the basement of a building that is now Campbell Barracks Hospital in Heidelberg, Germany.
Makes for great fiction.
Can’t wait to see the book. He got great books.
My brother was born in this building. Patton, of course, died in Heidelburg from the injuries that he received in the Mannheim traffic accident.
Was kind of wondering who the next “Killing of” book would be about. I was imagining (audiobook version):
BOR: “McMillan Audio presents Killing Lennon, by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard. This is Bill O’Reilly...”
“I won’t read anything written by The Blowhard”

When will he write a book to talk about the differences between a Loofah and a Falafel?
“Okay, we want to kill Patton, and here’s the best plan we can come up with: stage a car accident, run up to the car and, making sure none of the other uninjured passengers are looking, push a special gizmo up against him that will break his neck without leaving a mark. Then, all we have to do is wait for him to die of pneumonia in a week or two. It’s perfect.”
Killing Mackris: The Falafel Factor (Because we’re looking out for you...to have phone sex)
I am looking foward to Killing Garfield and Killing Hitler or better yet Killing Alan Cooms.
I wasted $25 and an hour of standing around waiting for him to sign his first book. I think I’ll spend the next $25 on ammo for some practice time at the range. :-)
Now that’s an excellent choice.
I got x-rays in the room and didn’t even know it was the room Patton died in until I noticed a plaque on the outside when I was leaving. Surreal!
