In the wake of the tragic killings in Santa Barbara over the weekend, Glenn questioned the role violent video games, movies, and technology might have played in the killers actions.

What's wrong with Glenn?
Think I’ll watch RED2 tonight. Or maybe Expendables2 ....good shoot ‘em up movies.
Well, if video game violence was the root cause of random killing sprees, the hours my teen-aged sons and I spent ‘killing’ one another on networked first-person shooter games in our own home would pretty much lead me to believe that...
...this is a load of cr@p, LOL!
I work with a nice young fellow who is your typical livin’ at home with the folks 23 yr old gamer who is a fine young conservative but just simply doesn’t have the long scope of experience or history to draw upon. I constantly warn him about his idolatry of Glenn Beck, saying sure he can be entertaining as hell but when he either goes off his meds or off the plantation, he can really go off.
So then Glenn tirades about WOW and my partner who has played WOW since he was a kid just went off in disbelief. You would have thought someone told him Santa Claus didn’t exist.
I told ya so I said..... why don’t you save your listening time for Mark Levin at 10pm instead, learn something.
Blaming video games is as stupid as blaming the NRA.
Four teens that played the same video game committed suicide. There must be a connection. /s Glenn needs to study statistics.
And playing Ozzy Osbourne backwards makes me worship satan.
Ahhh the good ol’ days when D&D were blamed for everything.
Well Pac-Man almost turned me into a cannibal.
I want to give Glenn some credit but I read the article. Why would you suffocate yourself because you had played a war game with an older relative? Because you were depressed you lost the game?
Don’t forget Judas Priest. ;)
duke nukem lives
Try it for 10 hours a day for 3 months and see if it doesn't.
There’s a ton of bands heavier and more evil than Ozzy could ever be.
I’ve been gaming for over 20 years now, half of it shooters online. I also did some space-based MMOs back when AOL was still the primary internet provider.
SOCOM > every console shooter to date.
Yeah, but you know, backwards.
But seriously, I think that these games, and also the TV shows which totally “glorify gun violence” have to have an effect on the general frame of mind of “today’s youth”. I’m particularly shocked by the network TV shows, which my wife loves to watch. What’s that one where the hero is an assassin, for crying out loud, but reined in by the powers that be, and constrained to kill for the good? Good gravy! The tone of all these shows is that you’re a god if you have a government sponsored gun on your hip.
Didn’t know that E3 was on its way. Hope it’s got more shoot-em-up than the previous two. My great grandad and grandad were brought up on Looney Toons - fought in the wars and they’re okay. The Left has to come up with something to blame.
I would put The Backstreet Boys on that list, well at least the "evil" part.
