The memorials were hastily assembled on Monday with sad, handwritten messages and stuffed animals in remembrance of two teenage brothers who died from gunfire the night before in a murder-suicide over what may have been the most trivial of sibling arguments.
The two brothers fought over sharing clothes on Sunday night with one of them apparently pulling the trigger on himself.

And of course, "gun nuts" to blame according to a comment.

memorials were hastily assembled on Monday with sad, handwritten messages and stuffed animals I've always wondered about that.
If I were a family member, I doubt I'd appreciate someone trashing my yard at such a time.

The two boys, Stanley Blanc, 16, and Stephen Odeus, 14, apparently were arguing in their apartment about clothing I might see part of the problem right here.

The two boys from "Little Haiti":
The comments by some are priceless. The Future Victims of America (liberals) always want to blame the tool or the NRA, or both.

“Tyquane Williams” was a close friend. That tells you the race of the perp & victim that the paper failed to report.

Me too until I discovered Crocs. They are without a doubt the ugliest shoe ever but I’ve never worn anything more comfortable. I woke up Sunday and my neuropathy was flaring and my feet weere swollen two sizes bigger than my shoes. Thank goodness for Croc’s...even though my wife glared at my feet all through Mass.

"The brothers had different last names."
You need to upgrade your cultural Aware-O-Meter.
This is one of those diverse Haitian naming customs you Anglo-Centric types don't appreciate.
It's right up there with RanDom CapitaLization.

is it wrong to say, thank goodness the loony toon didn't make it to the South Beach 'party' seeing how he was holding a hair trigger?
Margaret Jones, visiting her daughter Elizabeth, said she has complained about hearing gunfire in the area in the past. I guess thats why they call it the graveyard. A lot of shooting goes on in this area, said Jones.
I'm betting the kid belonged to a gang, and that is where he likely obtained his gun. The gang members of this gang should be held accountable - as accessories to murder.

***
The murder-suicide was about much more than that, I am sure; the argument was just the catalyst.
