Rev. Rafael Cruz, director of Purifying Fire Ministries and father of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), said the Christian church in America is under attack more and more every day, and noted that many pastors are afraid of losing their tax-exempt status if they speak out on political issues.
Cruz stressed, however, that no church in America has ever lost its tax-exempt status for speaking on whats happening in the country. [ ]
In his address at the Pastors Briefing, Rev. Cruz exhorted pastors to speak out on issues such as abortion and homosexual marriage.
The question is how long are we going to remain silent, said Rev. Cruz. Will God hold us accountable for our silence?

A couple decades too late to complain!
1994 was the right time to complain?
no church in America has ever lost its tax-exempt status for speaking on whats happening in the country.

Look for that to change in the Obamanation.
You know complaining has gone on for more that that but it only gets worse. Do you suggest a earlier or later year? Please, it seems to be a problem without scope and will continue to get worse. As the years go by, folks that benefit from their sacrifice continue to age - maybe that is the problem. Only those involved in the wars really appreciate what they accomplished. Youngsters today just want their iPhones and iPads, otherwise, just leave them alone...
Yes, probably just a rant from the previous generation about today’s generation - common don’t ya know.
Duh!
I would like to see more post with ideas about how the disintegration can be halted.
We all know that the educational system and the media are the two most overwhelming reasons for the decay and introduction to a Marxist/Communist society.
We can chirp all day on FR, but it will do nothing.
Keep in mind, it is one thing to fight a foreign invader, but a civil war is ...well, you know.
Be Your Way
Well, have to say that Olog-hai seemed to be more interested in determining when the problem started rather than a solution - or should I say, arguing the point of when it should have been recognized.
I have to say that I understand that these ideas have become ingrained in society (our young people) by Government schools, media, businesses, and just about all other aspects of society...so,
There is no easy solution, no quick answer, not even a long term answer it seems (to me). Unfortunately, the only resolution I see is a complete breakdown of current society and a remake by the new generation. Not going to happen when they no longer believe in the same values, much less the Constitution. Your on your own here about how to resolve the problem and would sure like to hear your ideas!
Abortion and homosexual marriage are not political issues, but the left will still wave it over the heads of churches and use it as a club when necessary.
“Your on your own here about how to resolve the problem and would sure like to hear your ideas!”

That is the real conundrum. It is one thing when a country is being invaded from the outside, but America is disintegrating from the inside. Frankly, I have no clue as to how it can be saved, as the immigrant and black population is far out-breading the traditional Americans. This is the one time when I am happy to be a senior citizen, outside of the loop, and outside of the country.
Those that claim to stay and fight, have yet to give me one example of how they can or will do that. We have only a vote, and we are outvoted. The media and educational sysyems are now fully controlled by the Marxist.
I really do yearn for serious ideas on how America can turn away from the darkness. So far, I hear only crickets chirping.
“If MY PEOPLE will hear my voice and call my name I will heal their land...”. There’s yer plan.
Wish I could find a pastor like this around here.
Maybe no church has lost its tax exemption (yet) but some people have had their livelihoods taken away by the militant gays.
If I hadn’t looked it up, I wouldn’t have known that the USCCB (U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops) actually has a committee on religious liberty.
Of course, the USCCB will never do anything that might hurt pro-abortion politicians politically, so we can expect continued silence about Obama’s anti-Christian activities.
We need a good leader and a cleansing fight to rid this land of Marxism. Of course, great leadership is hard to come by.
He’s a bit late (about 45 years) to say this now :/
Why is it when discussions about God, morality, cultural change driven by this regime which controls the direction this country is taking comes up. Or even speculate on why every statement turns out to be a lie or a complete falsehood when uttered by a democrat.
Nobody mentions what happened at the democratic party 2012 national convention.
I have yet to see a replay of that vote where they voted against the very mention of God’s Name before they didn’t vote for it.But claim they did.
Take your children out of the communist-run school system, number one.
Start a Bible study in your own home and teach exclusively from Scripture, not books by many of the recent populist pastors-number 2.
Pray without ceasing, especially for your pastor and staff, that God’s Word is rightly divided and they all have the courage to speak the Truth, number 3.
Take a stand whenever possible on issues in your own communities. When we sit back and let others take command of the issue, our silence is the same as agreement. We don’t need to be contentious, but we do need to stand our ground based on our Constitutional rights of free speech, and speaking it in love and with compassion, number 4.
These things would go a long way. When we stay at home in our nice safe homes and only complain, we give the outspoken their way. I’ve been pleased to see that the right has refrained from disorderly conduct and shouting matches. It makes the left look like what they are...really. The only plan they have is to shout us down, but that is no fun (to them) if they are the only ones participating! It makes them look desperate. Let their desperation make them do things that is truly ugly, as that does make some people shy away from them eventually. We have no reason to feel desperate. In Jesus, even though things look bad, we know we are on the winning side of history. We are free to be His people in spirit and in Truth, and despite what they may do to us and our bodies, we know that our reward will be worth it. Besides, lost people need to see what God’s nature is, and that is not in acting like the left.
