like, maybe there’s one? ; )
music is not my raison d’etre, generally. i really really really like silence best of all. there are times i will play my ipod in the car, i like the drive time DJ in the AM, bc they are funny and interesting and makes the commute pass quickly. But in the house, i do not turn the TV on to have background noise, i do not turn music on.

I think some of the more poppy 80s music. And some alt/grunge.

I’ve had an affinity for music pretty much since birth-we had the first stereo-bought at the BX-in the neighborhood when I was little, and my parents listened to mostly rock and blues-which were sort of new, but some pop, and they dragged us to some operas and such when there was a symphony hall within 40 miles. The aria from Madame Butterfly, “Un Bel Di” is my fav one, with that Japanese diva singing it-it makes me cry every time. The 1812 is my fav symphony, like just about everyone...

We had the beat and danced all the time-still do. I can remember what song was in the background at just about every defining moment, good or bad...

And my kid started rocking in utero...
