~snip~ For months, Fleischmann has been waging a mostly behind-the-scenes assault against an order President Barack Obama put in place last fall barring private groups or individuals from bringing most military surplus firearms back into the United States after they have been sold or donated to foreign allies.
~snip~ Fleischmann has inserted language into a federal budget bill that, if approved, would in effect halt the order by preventing the administration from spending any federal money to enforce it.

We, the citizens and taxpayers, paid for those weapons in the first place. In a very real sense, they are ours. No government/regime has the legitimate authority to prevent us from bringing them home.
