“if you can get 6-8 hours of morning sun”

I said practically no sun for the first half of planter and none for second half and that’s what I meant. There won’t be ANY hours of sun on that planter. That’s why I have ignored it - but maybe lettuce would grow.

Up until now, I figured only silk/plastic flowers would grow there. It’s just a barren neglected piece of wood planter nothing right now.

Chives and miner’s lettuce grow in the shade, but miner’s lettuce is more of a green ground cover than lettuce and it is one of those cold tolerant greens. It is pretty tasty mixed in with other salad greens.

I read once that the light outdoors is even in the shade is more than you get indoors in front of a window, so it’s worth a try.
