You're exceeding the "Believability" factor.
B.S. flag on the play.
You might have read it, but I seriously doubt the truth of that story.

I had one. It was fun and all, but when hard economic times caused me to sell off my collection, this was one of the first to go.
I wouldn’t count on it, and use in an emergency would have been accompanied with a lot more supplicative prayer than the grateful prayer I would utter while using what I have now.

I have tried to be courteous to you as I do all people. It made me just a little suspicious when you tried to use your military service as a qualification for knowing all about guns. You deserve respect for your service but it doesn’t mean squat as far as gun knowledge goes unless you served in an elite combat unit.
When you mentioned the G3 9mm, I knew you had no idea what you were talking about. Actually anytime someone belittles the .22LR, it is a tell.

***I recall an article many years ago by a writer named Skeeter Skelton.***
Years ago I read that if Skeeter could have only ONE handgun it would be a S&W 19 .357 mag with a 5 inch barrel.

CMMG now makes a drop in conversion for AR piston guns. The AR can also take an oil filter for sound suppression after rule of law has collapsed. When using the .22lr round with oil filter it is more quiet than my .22 Air Rifle. There is youtube video of Hickok45 using an STP oil filter ... but not with 22lr, IIRC.

The six shooter with interchangeable 22lr and 22 magnum cylinders and five inch barrel would be a useful sidearm, once the feral packs have dissipated. A 22magnum lever rifle would make a nice accompanying tool. 1000 rounds of ammo doesn’t weight much more than .22lr.

I don’t remember that but the 5 inch barrel sure sounds like Skeeter so I bet that is correct.

I once owned a Winchester 9422M. It was the slickest little .22 Mag I ever used.

No, I only became aware of it, the other day. Thanks for the info !

Anytime someone pushes the .22 LR as a real weapon, it's a "tell".
As a concealed assignation toll for the back of the neck into the skull, it's effective, and it'll get you small game such as rabbits and squirrels, and maybe birds if you lead your target.
but for self defense and survival, it's a liberal's wet dream.
Get a real weapon, IF you want to live.

When I was in South Korea (one of 5 tours) an Israeli exchange officer, an F-16 WIZO (Weapons officer) who was also the Flying Safety Officer at Kunsan AB, ROK, use to do 2 hour tours of duty in the control tower with us, and he's the one who told us about their special forces preferences (mid 90s) and mentioned the usability of the H&K G-3, but he said they had a modified version that used 9 mm in close quarters.
He loved the Short Barreled Rifles, and said they didn't come much better than the H&Ks.
You probably know them as HP 94 or MP-5.
Now maybe you'll think about that, and quit selling a weapon that will get the owners hurt.
